Read our documentation of this stay →We would not host Michelle and her group again. A few days into the reservation, Airbnb informed us they were requesting a refund and intended to leave. Instead, they remained for the rest of their stay while continuing to raise complaints and seek reimbursement through Airbnb.
The toilets clogged three times despite clear instructions on what cannot be flushed. During one visit, our pool/garden maintenance person also reported being questioned by the group to the point that he felt uncomfortable.
The pool was cleaned and treated before check-in and maintained multiple times during their stay, which we documented. The guests requested additional chlorine and were informed they would need to wait before using the pool afterward. The pool was later raised as an issue despite this. After checkout, they submitted an additional $100 reimbursement request.
We have not experienced this pattern with other guests and cannot recommend them to other hosts.

- Every issue was reported in real time on the booking platform, not invented afterwards
- Every claim maps to a message, a photograph, or video taken during the stay
- The host and the platform get quoted in their own words, not paraphrased into something worse
- An open dispute is labelled open until the day it closes
- We say plainly when something was handled well, because most of the time it is
What you will never find here
- Anonymous or second-hand complaints

- Sponsored, affiliate, or comped reviews
- A property named without its side of the story
- Trackers, ad scripts, or cookies - this site sets none, so there is nothing to accept
